Leveraging the 20 year Spekko brand legacy in the Western Cape, Sasko Grain proceeded to energize, revamp and reposition the brand as a natural, high quality rice product in August 2005.

Spekko Rice is positioned as ‘The Rice For All Occasions’, and variants consist of: long-grain parboiled rice, pure white rice and jasmine rice from Thailand, white basmati rice from India, and brown rice from Uruguay. Only premium quality, imported rice is good enough for the Spekko brand and suppliers are thoroughly screened to ensure a supply of consistent quality.
